Pinus parviflora du Japon "goldilock" Pinus parviflora du Japon "goldilock" ref : 12127 Nursery specimen imported from Japan, grown in a plastic training pot: Ø 185 mm and 150 mm high. Tree height alone: approx. 400?550 mm. This pine requires wiring to shape and set its branches into pads, and it can also be repotted into an unglazed bonsai pot. A specimen similar to the one shown in the photo will be shipped. Rare variety ?Goldilocks?, vigorous and very well suited to bonsai due to its short needle length. High-quality graft. Trunk Ø approx. 10?20 mm. Concise Description of Pinus parviflora 'Goldilocks' 1. Habit and Growth Slow-growing conifer, ideal for bonsai or small spaces. Upright, irregular or pyramidal habit, often with several stronger branches, creating a unique silhouette. After 10 years, it typically reaches 1.2?1.8 m high with a spread of about 1.2 m. 2. Foliage and Visual Appeal Needles in bundles of five, typical of Pinus parviflora. Young spring shoots are a brilliant golden yellow, contrasting with the green to blue-green base, sometimes with silvery tones. In winter, the entire foliage may appear almost completely golden. 3. Growing Conditions Hardiness zones: typically USDA 5?8, sometimes 3?7. In France, it withstands temperatures down to about ?25 °C. Planting site: full sun to partial shade, especially in warmer climates to preserve golden foliage and avoid scorching. Ornamental Value Year-round interest, especially in spring (golden new growth) and winter (overall golden effect). Perfect for Japanese gardens, rock gardens, small spaces, containers or bonsai. pinus pentaphylla ref: 16080232 pinus pentaphylla ref: 16080232 ref : 12011 Featuring a twin-trunk shakan style, this tree embodies a unique elegance. It reaches a height of 380 mm and spans an impressive branch width of 650 mm. The trunk diameters, measuring between 40 and 50 mm, lend a substantial presence to the subject. The nebari, with a span of 140/150 mm, anchors this tree in a quality handcrafted Yixing Chinese pottery, with dimensions of 260*260*150 mm, displaying an unglazed finish. Originating from a yamadori of over 60/80 years old, this pine boasts admirable trunk conicity and carefully developed bark. On the backside, a discreet and natural shari adorns the trunk, featuring an aged appearance with cracks that add a natural and authentic effect. The diagonally reclined base of the trunks imparts a distinctive character to this bonsai. This style of pine, relatively rare in collections, will captivate the passionate soul of an enlightened enthusiast. An authentic bonsai adorned with original jin and shari, it clearly distinguishes itself from tanuki counterfeits. Currently ligatured with copper wire, requiring special attention by March 2024, this tree presents no major injuries from wires or cutting. The selection of this bonsai is based on its undeniable beauty and the moderately long needles, slightly tinted blue, a rare trait among seedlings. It has won the heart of Guy Maillot, a passionate bonsaï lover. Please note that the stand is not included. Photographs dated August 2023 offer a comprehensive view of this specimen from every angle. 2.430,00 order
