Description

Tree height: 830 mm

Width: 700 mm Pot: Handmade glazed ceramic in navy blue with raised plum blossom motifs, antique style from China, featuring a beautiful patina — 460 × 330 × 125 mm Style: Moyogi (informal upright) 

The Eleagnus, also called silverberry or Bohemian olive, is an evergreen shrub with oval leaves that are silver on the underside. New shoots have a copper color, and its small fragrant flowers are waxy yellow. By the end of the season, these flowers give way to reddish-brown olive-shaped fruits measuring 8 to 12 mm. This specimen is over 60 years old, collected as yamadori, with well-formed foliage pads and very attractive bark. Trunk diameter: approx. 100 mm Nebari: approx. 170 mm Requires full sun exposure No wire scars; a pruning wound is currently healing on the back side 

Excellent trunk taper and superb shari aged with patina Beautiful root base Repotted in spring 2023 in akadama soil For collectors: The bark is perfectly developed, and the graceful trunk movement harmonizes beautifully with the dense foliage pads.
