Pinus pentaphylla – Ref: 21020254

Tree dimensions: height (without pot) 980 mm, branch spread 660 mm Pot: handcrafted riveted pot, unglazed, Ø 400 × 90 mm Style: Moyogi (informal upright) Trunk: excellent taper, Ø 80 mm at trunk, 260 mm at the base Characteristics: dense, well-structured ramification, well-formed bark, and natural jins enhancing the impression of age (mochikomi). No wire scars or marks from heavy pruning. Age & origin: Japanese five-needle pine, grown from seed, approximately 50–60 years old, selected for the fineness and short length of its needles. Provenance: Shiraichi nursery, Japan. Aesthetic potential: careful wiring would allow the lowering of branch pads, further enhancing the tree's elegance. Photographs: January 2025 Special feature: a graceful bonsai with gentle curves, ideal for the discerning collector. Sold without display table.
