Description

Height of the tree only: 75 cm.

Length of the bough: 80 cm.

Non-enamelled pot from Yixing, China, signed by the artist: 58*45*6 cm.

Ø of the trunks 1.5/2.5 cm, nébari Ø 14 cm.

A collector's item, this acer palmatum deshojo bonsai bursts with vermillion red foliage in spring. In summer the leaves are green and then turn yellow-orange in autumn. This deciduous, multi-trunk kabudachi-style outdoor bonsai was imported from the Takahashi nursery in Japan. It's more than 40 years old, with a good conical shape. Superb bark and no major signs of wounds or cut branches.

Repotted in February 2016. Photographed in March 2016.
