Description
In spring, the young leaves emerge in a beautiful soft green with bright red margins, before quickly turning entirely light green. During summer, the foliage takes on a delicately crinkled appearance, reminiscent of the Shishigashira variety. Autumn reveals its full splendor as the leaves turn a deep, vibrant scarlet red.
Acer palmatum 'Kinky Krinkle' is a still relatively unknown Japanese maple, selected by Talon Buchholz of Buchholz & Buchholz Nursery in Oregon, USA.
It stands out for its upright, elegant habit and finely textured foliage.
The leaves are curled along the edges and finely serrated.
